Ibn Battuta Mall, The Gardens (129 bldgs), The Gardens Furnished Apartments (8 bldgs), Discovery Gardens (41 bldgs), International City (111 bldgs), and District Cooling Plants (2 plants). The project involved an ASHRAE level III audit of all typical buildings in the five communities (Ibn Battuta Mall, 29 buildings types, 2 Nakheel owned District Cooling Plants) as well as an ASHRAE level I audit which was conducted on the full buildings profile (~300 buildings with a total built-up area of over 2,000,000 m2). The scope covered bills analysis, an audit of energy consuming systems, power quality analysis, and indoor air quality consultancy. Full-calibrated energy models were done for all typical buildings in all communities (30 energy models) on IES software. The study resulted in identifying savings of around AED24 Millions in a 3-year program. Implementation is currently undertaken with savings reported within 10% of the identified figures.
